Shoulw Malwarebytes be installed on servers?

Recommended Posts

Hello,

We manage networks for multiple clients. We have successfully used Malwarebytes on desktops for some time, however should the malwarebytes program be installed on servers?

The servers in question would be WIndows Server 2008, Server 2008R2. Typical roles would be domain controllers, Exchange servers, SQL servers, Terminal Servers.

When taking a look online, Malwarebytes seems to only support Windows XP, Vista, and 7.

I am concerned about performance problems, and compatability issues with things like active directory.

Thanks for your time.

Greetings nogamu and welcome :)

While not officially supported on Windows Server 2008 and 2008 R2, we do have many customers who do use Malwarebytes Anti-Malware on those operating systems without any problems.

Additionally, if your company has not looked into our business product offerings, I highly recommend that you do so. Our business version of the product is far more scriptable and controllable and far easier to deploy across multiple systems than our consumer product. We also have Malwarebytes Enterprise Edition available for purchases of 100 seats or more which provides you not only with the business client software for your systems, but also a managed server solution and console to monitor, deploy and control all of your clients, including setting up policies for the settings you would like all of your clients to use and you may even set up multiple policies so that the needs of different clients are met depending on how you want their settings to be.

For more information, please visit our Business Licensing page. From there you can see the highlights of these offerings as well as contact our business sales department to get a quote if your company is interested.

Please let us know if there's anything else that we may assist you with.

Thanks
