Hello all, I was just wondering what the best type of FREE anti-virus there was. I have heard of so many such as AVAST and AVG etc. Anybody know the best one to use? Any help would be appreciated. I am using Windows 7 Internet Explorer 9.

People need to research before posting. This has been posted many times and is getting quite old. Some members such as myself are getting tired of this same old question that is asked regularly. There is no one product that is best. Just try a few.

um sorry but i did a search in the forums and came up with zip, just about anti virus problems, thanks

A Google search for "compare antivirus for Windows 7" (or similar search terms) will also provide a number of (reasonably) objective computer sites that compare products side-by-side for features, detection rates, cost, tech support, system requirements, etc. You might find the information at these sites helpful.

yes ... that would be along the lines of what i was getting at , but maybe with "circles and arrows ..." (5 bonus points for the reference) and a marquee .
to be honest , it is a major topic and sometimes it is hard to "see" things .
