K, I was called by my brother, and he needs help fixing some sort of spyware. First thing i did was scan with MBAM and Avast, then about half way through scanning, it quit and froze. I noticed that his webcam light was on, even though he wasn't using it - So, i opened task manager, and I saw a couple of processes that looked like something I had a while ago:
-A.exe
-B.exe
-C.exe
-MSA.exe
-Braviax.exe
I googled these processes, and all of them appeared to be some sort of malware. I ended up putting black tape over his webcam, after i kept getting a warning about some sort of attack attempting to access the machine. I also noticed that I couldn't kill the processes listed above without them coming back five minutes later. Any help would be appreciated.
Oh, and both of his Anti-Virus/Spyware are up to date. Yet, this keeps on happening. He also admitted to have "updated his Flash Player" after clicking on a link from his facebook account. I'm going to assume that this is the koobface worm or something similar to it. if this is the case, how can you fix it after it's been taken over, if at all possible.
