I've noticed in the last update 1.61
BTW: I've used mbam-clean.exe before installing the latest version

a new exe file was added to the malwarebytes folder in program files(x86)
C:\Program Files(x86)\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware\mbampt.exe

mbampt.exe info:
file version:1.61.0.0000
internal name: mbampt.exe
copyright: © Malwarebytes Corporation. All rights reserved

what is "mbampt.exe" and what its function
I had scanned that file and it appear to be safe and having malwarebytes digital signature and shall I assassin it??

check this, was useless to me

As I am not on the staff for Malwarebytes nor am I a developer for Malwarebytes, I am not sure as to its function or why it was added. I got this answer from one of the staffers located Right HERE. Perhaps one of the staff folks can shed some light on this topic for you.

I would think that they need to update the FAQ and I would add the file to your exceptions in your antivirus program just to be safe.
