Hello,
I'm running AVG 2012. I did have a virus, now it appears clean, but if I run Malware then AVG popup with an infection. Trojan horse Generic28.anic in the mbam.exe process and Backdoor.Generic15.axla.
again in the mbam.exe process.
I'm thinking it has to do with Malwarebytes, but I want to make sure.
Thanks,
Susie

Hi, mollie_5:
Is this your own personal computer, or a customer's machine?
Please see the reply in your other topic: http://forums.malwar...ndpost&p=583468
One of the MBAM staff or another qualified malware expert will need to weigh in as to whether this is likely a FP detection by AVG or, more likely, a computer that is still infected.
Thanks for your patience,

I'm not sure how it works, as I'm just a home user and forum volunteer (there are several options, I'm sure).
So, until an MBAM staffer replies here and in your other topic, it might be best to contact corporate licensing/support directly, since they'll be able to get it sorted out for you.
Thanks very much for your patience,

PS Once you're licensed, the support folks can provide one-on-one assistance with malware removal.

Did you put Malwarebytes into the AVG ignore list ? I don't use AVG so can't tell you where the ignore list is.

@mollie_5
For setting of "trust settings" in AVG and MBAM, see section H of the MBAM F.A.Q.
http://forums.malwar...51
When you suspect or have an "infection", so that there's no conflict with 1 app & the other, first turn off the real-time monitor of your antivirus, before starting the MBAM scan.
How To Temporarily Disable Your Anti-virus, Firewall And Anti-malware Programs
Re-enable the AV program when scan is done.
