Malwarebytes Freezes

I've installed Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware and attempt to run the scan but it continues to get 'locked-up', 'not responding' after about 40 seconds or so into the scan...any suggestions.

I have XP with SP3 with Norton.

Manic - thanks for the response.

I have the MBAM software downloaded - the problem is that when I do the scan - the program freezes. It will only go for about 1 minute or so and stops scanning (locks-up, not responding).

Manic - thanks for all your help. It finally worked when I uninstalled the software and re-installed it. Again...thank you!!!
