I have installed the software. It will open, the program screen flickers then shuts down.

Just keep trying to open the program, 20 to 30 times, and eventually you will get to the scan page.
Click on scan.
Program may run a second or two.
Click on scan and repeat 20 to30 times.
Eventually the program will run longer and longer, then find the virus that is shutting the software down.
I had to let the computer reboot three times before the software killed everything.
Disconnecting your internet connection helps accelerate the program.
