Ok, so I downloaded Malwarebytes and HijackThis on another computer and with a thumb drive transferred it to the infected computer. I then tried to install them by double-clicking on them both. Nothing happens, at all. (And this is in safe mode). So I read to try changing the name and then double-clicking. It worked on Malwarebytes but not on HijackThis, it still did nothing when I double-clicked. Malwarebytes installed, but when I tried to start it, nothing happens. At all. Any suggestions?

Be careful using USB drive as there are Malware that attacks them on purpose and infects systems that use it.
Best to burn a CD if you can.

Please try this in Normal, then in Safe if it won't run int normal mode.

NOTE!!: You must save and run ComboFix.exe on your DESKTOP and not from any other folder.
Also, DO NOT click the mouse or launch any other applications while this is running or it may stall the program

Once installed, you should see a blue screen prompt that says:

The Recovery Console was successfully installed.

Please continue as follows:

• Close/disable all anti virus and anti malware programs so they do not interfere with the running of ComboFix.
  
• Click Yes to allow ComboFix to continue scanning for malware.
  
• When the tool is finished, it will produce a report for you.
  
• Please post the C:\ComboFix.txt along with a new HijackThis log so we may continue cleaning the system.
