I run a Malwarebytes scan manually once a day. I don't want to run it in real time because I'm happy with my AV/malware software, which I run in real-time, and there would be a conflict running them both at the same time.
So far I haven't purchased Malwarebytes, but I'd like to purchase it in order to get automatic updates and scheduling. My question is simply, does the purchased version allow me to schedule it to run at a certain time, rather than continually?
Thanks,
Ellen

Greetings
Yes it does. You may use the scheduler in the PRO version to have scans and updates run automatically at the scheduled times you set.
That being said, Malwarebytes Anti-Malware PRO, even if running in realtime, should not conflict with your existing antivirus/anti-malware solutions, as it was engineered specifically not to conflict with other security products.

I just purchased it, and it started running automatically. I can't find where to turn it off I if I wanted to. Where would that option be found?
Thanks,
Ellen

If you right-click on the red Malwarebytes Anti-Malware tray icon near your clock in the lower right-hand side of your screen and uncheck the Start with Windows option, that will prevent the realtime protection from running at startup but the scheduler will still be fully functional.

It is still not working properly. I'm finding that it will update on schedule but not run the scan as scheduled, not even within the 15 minute window it says it needs. Instead it likes to start a scan on reboot although I do not have it set to do so. It also seems to like to start a scan after I've changed the settings and closed the program.

Please do the following:
Create and mbam-check log:
Thanks
Create and mbam-check log:
- Download mbam-check.exe from here and save it to your desktop
- Double-click on mbam-check.exe to run it, it should then open a log file
- Please copy and paste the entire contents of the log into your next post, or, if you prefer, you may attach the CheckResults.txt file which should now be located on your desktop to your next post instead
Thanks

I don't know why, but the problem seems to have resolved on its own. For now at least. Thanks for your advice, which I will follow if the problem recurs.
