After running MBAM and allowing it to remove infected items I can not access internet.
I have used Device Manager to uninstall and reinstall the LAN connection; which i thought clears any WINSOCK issues.
I can ping www.yahoo.com from the command line with normal results along with other known ip addresses or www sites.
Can ping router and DNS servers just fine.
Firefox and IE produce the same results. Tried assigning a static ip to the system with same results.
System logs into DOMAIN, uses other network devices, etc.
From my standpoint it almost appears that its a port 80 issue for passing http:// traffic ???
Anyone familiar with this result after running MBAM ? I have also restarted with system restore turned off and ran MBAM in safe mode and regular mode on FULL SCAN with no luck.
One last thing is that typing the actual ip address in the browser does not produce a result either.
Thanks for hopefully a quick solution. This is a Windows XP Pro SP2 system.
After running MBAM I can ping in dos but none of my browsers resolve
