On Win7-64 installed over previous. Updated fine. Ran flash & quick scans. al OK

Keep up the good works.

It may be just me.... but after Win restarted, mbam showed in task tray much faster than historical experience :D

Yes, that's normal. After installing an upgrade, the tray will load faster after the first reboot but it will start up with the normal delay on subsequent reboots.

If you wish to change it so that there is no delay, you can configure MBAMService to Automatic instead of Automatic (Delayed Start).

Hi,

Installed over 1.61.0.1400 (without clean-up).
Works with:
XP Pro SP3
ZoneAlarm Pro 9.3.037
Avira AntiVir Personal 10.2.0.165

After restart, "avgnt.exe" (Avira AntiVir system tray tool) crashes with the error:
AppName: avgnt.exe AppVer: 10.0.13.18 ModName: msvcr90.dll
ModVer: 9.0.30729.6161 Offset: 00037256

I don't know the reason, but this crash occurs on all my PC's.

How do I post a couple of screenshots about this beta? I click on image and a window opens requesting the URL. Well, I don't have them stored with a image hosting site, and I don't wish to.

Hi,

In most Malewarebytes' forums you will be able to attach images from your computer directly to your post as shown at the bottom of the Rich Text editor.

In certain forums, such as THIS one, this function is disabled by Administrators...

If you are worried about privacy there are several image hosting sites where you can keep your images PRIVATE; such as imgur.com (and it's FREE; you do have to register but you can store 250 images without charge; there is even an image uploader "tool" or you can log into your account and upload from there..)

I wonder if a dial-up friendly check has been added yet. That is, it checks for a program update first and then checks for a definition update. Saves having to download the definition file, then the program update, then the definition file again. It's been a complaint I've seen by a few of the users on my forum.

Edit: Just installed and updated definitions. Would like to see a bit more information when the definitions are updating.

Yep, that's one of the changes that this information in the changelog refers to :):

Streamlined and optimized database update module

It was indeed something that many of our users complained about and we didn't like it either so we got it fixed. Now it downloads a program update first, then the user installs the new program version, then they can update their database. No more wasted bandwidth during in-program upgrades :).
