Hi

I've recently switched to Kaspersky AV 2013. Before I enable the protection module of MBAM PRO, I’d like to hear if anyone here runs it alongside KAV 2013.
I’ve already added exclusions in both products. Would unchecking the heuristics component of MBAM make it less likely to conflict? My OS is Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 64 bit.

Thanks.

Hi, jamjar:

Until an MBAM staffer arrives...

I'm waiting for KIS2013 to stabilize a bit before upgrading, but I don't think you should have a problem and I don't think it will be necessary to disable the heuristics component of MBAM.

In fact, MBAM is no longer listed among the "incompatible software" for KIS/KAV:

Hi, Arnold72:

Great!
Glad it's working for you. :)

FWIW, though, it is not entirely stable, yet.
Hotfix A (patch A) is in beta testing and scheduled for release soon, and the KL user forum is chock full of issues with the Safe Money feature, UI issues and other minor problems. And there are several other bugs still not resolved yet with this patch.
There were several major changes made "under the hood" with 2013, and not all of them are working well for all users yet.
As is typical for any major internet security suite (or other software suite or Windows OS), there are always performance and stability changes that need to be made after millions of users install and use the new version "in the wild".
It is a continual process on the part of the vendor to improve the product.

Since the 2012 version is stable and fully supported, I choose to continue with it for the time being.
That is more efficient for me, since I use my computers for work, not just play, and it saves me the time/effort that might be required to have to switch back and forth between KIS versions, restore my data, or (heaven forbid!) reinstall my Windows OS, in the event of a problem.

Anyway, the OP's question related to compatibility.
I merely mentioned the fact that I had not yet upgraded to 2013, so that jamjar would know that I could not personally, specifically verify MBAM with KIS2013. :) So, the stability of KIS2013 is, to some extent, a separate issue.

YMMV. :)

Best regards,
