Uninstall Mozilla FireFox:

Then, download and install it again:

Also, please try to manually update Microsoft Security Essentials.

Still nothing. Now getting the 404 Error message at times when clicking a link.

Microsoft Securtiy Essentials is up and running. But yes, began receiving the 404 Bad Gateway page after the re-install.

Please download MiniToolBox, save it to your desktop and run it.
Checkmark the following checkboxes:
Note: When using "Reset FF Proxy Settings" option Firefox should be closed.
Step 2
Please download Farbar Service Scanner and run it on the computer with the issue.
In your next reply, post the following log files:
Please download MiniToolBox, save it to your desktop and run it.
Checkmark the following checkboxes:
- Flush DNS
- Report IE Proxy Settings
- Reset IE Proxy Settings
- Report FF Proxy Settings
- Reset FF Proxy Settings
- List content of Hosts
- List IP configuration
- List Winsock Entries
- List last 10 Event Viewer log
- List Installed Programs
- List Devices
- List Users, Partitions and Memory size.
- List Minidump Files
Note: When using "Reset FF Proxy Settings" option Firefox should be closed.
Step 2
Please download Farbar Service Scanner and run it on the computer with the issue.
- Make sure the following options are checked:
- Internet Services
- Windows Firewall
- System Restore
- Security Center
- Windows Update
- Internet Services
- Press "Scan".
- It will create a log (FSS.txt) in the same directory the tool is run.
- Please copy and paste the log to your reply.
In your next reply, post the following log files:
- MiniToolBox log
- Farbar Service Scanner log

I don't know if both mpsdrv.reg or LEGACY MPSDRV.reg worked properly. When running them it said, Cannot import: Not all data was successfully written to the registry.
