Hello -
Ihave run through all the pre-post steps to the best of my ability. However, I have only benn able to do so in Safe Mode on my affected laptop. I downloaded malwarebytes, ran it and detected and deleted some ransomware, in safe mode. Booting back into normal mode, i wasfaced with the same problems. I went backinto safemode, tried again, (found and deleted new ransomware). I rebooted into safe mode (no prompts from Malwarebytes), treid rebooting again into normal mode...problem still existed. Finally, backinto safemodeand ran as many of your recommended steps pre-posting this as I could. Below is the DDS file. Attached is the zipped "Attach" file. I ran GMER twice but came up with empty files both times. Finally I ahve attached logs of my Malwarebytes results. Thanks for any help you can give.

Please remove any usb or external drives from the computer before you run this scan!

Please download and run RogueKiller to your desktop.

Quit all running programs.

For Windows XP, double-click to start.
For Vista or Windows 7, do a right-click on the program, select Run as Administrator to start, & when prompted Allow to run.

Click Scan to scan the system.
When the scan completes > Close out the program > Don't Fix anything!

Don't run any other options, they're not all bad!!!!!!!

Post back the report which should be located on your desktop.

Thanks Mr. Charlie. I have the $200 version. I seem to currently only be able to operate in safe mode. In normal boot everything looks good for a little bit but the cmoputer eventually goes to the screen when it is done booting - I dont seem to have time/ability to get to a DOS prompt in moremla mode at this point.

I will try Rogue Killer in safe mode.

Thanks again - I had some other stuff I had to do, and just started the TDSSKiller. I downloaded and began the TDSSKiller in safe mode, then rebooted into normal mode (which until now was taking me to the FBI Ransomware page). It took about 5 minutes for the TDSSKIller to start recording objects it was looking at.

Found 1 Suspicious object "unsigned file Service: Switchboard", which I skipped as directed. Log coming in a second

I was so focused on following your directions...looks like the FBI have returned my computer to me...thanks so very much! If you see anything in the logs or have further thoughts about teh ZeroACcess problem, I would be grateful for your advice. Cheers! I will be sure to make a donation!

To give you a more complete answer, I reran Rogue Killer on the W7 as you suggested, deleted the registry files you suggested;the Zero Access files were then not found on that run. Then Ran TDSSKiller and sent you those logs. Currently on the W7 in normal mode with no sign of the FBI. Of course it seems the Zero Access is still a concern.

Also on the W7, I just reran malwarebytes and got this: these files were around earlier when I was running malwarebytes originaly and I hav edelated them at elast once already today...

OK, clean out temp files:

Download TFC to your desktop
Close any open windows.
Double click the TFC icon to run the program
TFC will close all open programs itself in order to run,
Click the Start button to begin the process.
Allow TFC to run uninterrupted.
The program should not take long to finish it's job
Once its finished it should automatically reboot your machine,
if it doesn't, manually reboot to ensure a complete clean

Please run a free online scan with the ESET Online Scanner
Note: You will need to use Internet Explorer for this scan.

Tick the box next to YES, I accept the Terms of Use.
Click Start

Make sure that the options Remove found threats and the option Scan unwanted applications is checked
Click Advanced settings and select the following:

Click Start
Wait for the scan to finish

So far as ZA, you should be OK. I would would change any passwords that are used on the system and keep an eye on any accounts that may have been used.
