[Rippin]

I have been fighting an infection for about a week now. My IT guy (brother-in-law) was able to get the machine from basically inoperative to mostly operative, but he ran out of free time before he could get malwarebytes to run. I have the program downloaded and installed, but it will not open/run.

Among other things, I ran a dozen full scans with trendmicro. I installed Avira last night and only one warning showed up. Below is my HJT log. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I found the .sys and wiped it and go mbam to run. Mbam found many items. I have rerun mbam and avira until completely clean. Here is a new HJT log:

I have used the laptop only sparingly, but I have not noticed any obvious issues.

Actually, I am noticing that the wireless connection status icon is showing no wireless connections and, since I am posting this, this cannot be the case. This started happening when the infection occurred. No matter if I refresh the network list, nothing shows up in the wireless list.

This occurrence seems intermittent but persistent.
