I’ve never had a problem with my computer until now, 2 days ago it began acting up when a lot of different messages saying my anti virus wasn’t responding. When I type in the search engine for yahoo and Google I get pages I didn’t want. By word of mouth and trying to figure out what’s wrong I tried to install Malwarebytes and it will not open; all I get is an hourglass for a few moments and it disappears and none of the other spyware or antivirus applications seem to be working except Ccleaner. My knowledge of computers only goes so far and this is why I'm asking for help. I'd appreciate it thank you.

• Please do not install any software or use any removal/scanning tool except for those you're requested to run by the Helper that will assist you.
  
• Using these other tools often makes the cleanup task more difficult and time consuming.

looks to me that you got infected and whatever malware that is installed on your computer is preventing you from using any antivirus means at your disposal.
Try renaming mbam.exe to some other name and then run that.
