Got a PC with files that originally showed-up in WIndows directory and now
showing up in the SYSTEM32 directory.
Malwarebytes finds UACINIT.DLL but when you look even in DOS mode there is no such file!
Vundofix finds nothing.

Not sure who asked you to run GMER, but you shouldn't run tools like that on your own.
Download ComboFix from one of the locations below, and save it to your Desktop.

When finished, it shall produce a log for you. Post that log and a HijackThis log in your next reply

Ok, this is interesting... I had trouble totally stopping AVG to the point that it found acceptable. I tried safe mode, and uninstalling AVG and that failed, then I manually deleted all avg files except one dll in DOS mode. Finally, ComboFix ran but it never displayed anything on the "blue screen". We shut-off the PC after 25 minutes and rebooted. It seems like it worked because Malwarebytes now gives a clean bill of health for the previous file it was finding...

Check to see if C:\combofix.txt is present and post it here if it is please.
