Hello,
My McAfee virus scan keeps popping up saying it's deleted a trojan called Generic rootkit.w. But, it keeps doing this and every time I turn my computer on, it finds the same thing, so obviously it's not actually getting rid of it. I ran Malwarebytes anti-malware and got 118 infected files. I can copy and paste my log file here. I have no idea what to do because I'm worried that if I delete all of these infected files, I might be deleting some critical files that my computer needs in order to run. Could someone please please please help me? I'm really worried about this and I am in the middle of writing my thesis, so I desperately need my computer to work properly.
