I have something on my computer that will not allow me to update my antivirus or any program. It also willnot allow the use on RUN or command prompt. Also Redgit or any resitry program does not work and it will crash any internet seach on down load of any program that relates to viruses or registry fixes. It appears when windows loads a program and switches to control my PC. I see my desk top come up and then it goes out and reapears and I cannot seem to do anything. It even happens in safe mode. I have added programs such as malwarebytes via jump drives and they say nothing found. Any thoughts? This is my computer that I use for work and need to get it running quickly. I appreciate any help. Thank you!!!!!!!!!!

Hi,

This smells like you are dealing with Sality. If that is the case, then it's unfortunately a game over situation and a format needs to be done. Sality is a file infector which infects legitimate files.

That's why a format and reinstall will be the fastest and especially the safest solution. It would be IRRESPONSIBLE to clean this up manually.

Anyway, to have a look with what you are dealing,

* Download Trend Micro Hijack This™
Doubleclick the HJTInstall.exe to start it.
By default it will install HijackThis in the Program Files\Trendmicro folder and create a desktop shortcut.
HijackThis will open after install. Press the Scan button below.
This will start the scan and open a log.
Copy and paste the contents of the log in your next reply.
