I downloaded malwarebytes after seeing that it was my only hope to get rid of this *browser redirecting virus*. It originally blocked me from even visiting this site but after using a mirror to download malwarebytes and renaming the .exe and running a scan I was able to visit this site now. Unfortunately even though I ran a full scan multiple times, and kept my browsers processes off during scan and removal and restarted my computer when prompted, malwarebytes still failed to remove this virus but detects and *quarantines* every time I scan at least 8 results.

More info regarding virus***

Not sure of particular name but It redirects me at a rate of 75% whenever I click on a search result in google.

I use Mozilla Firefox and I have mcaffee.

I'm sorry if this is the wrong forum to post this but I figured it had to do with a problem with malwarebytes, unless this problem is my fault. Please delete if I am in the wrong forum and direct me to the correct place if possible. Thanks ahead of time everyone!

This virus is a real mutha!! I have run Symantec, Avira, Adwarewith no results. Avira found 2 Trojans but they weren't the rediorect virus because I ran 2 different Registry fix programs after the find and I still get redirected. I tried to run Pareto logic, Spyboot and Malware Bytes but it will not let me. Could you tell me how you got Malware bytes to run again? thanks

well can you install it????

rename the installer to anything and try again

if its installed go to the directory that its installed too and rename the .exe processes to like asadasdasd.exe or something because the virus is blocked malwarebytes .exe from running. try that. im sure the real techs on here will be able to help you better though

Hello and Welcome to Malwarebytes.org

If you're having Malware related issues with your computer that you're unable to resolve.
  • Please do not post any logs in the General forum. We do not work on any logs posted in the General forum.
  • Please do not install any software or use any removal/scanning tool except for those you're requested to run by the Helper that will assist you.
  • Using these other tools often makes the cleanup task more difficult and time consuming.
  • If you have already submitted for assistance at one of the other support sites on the Internet then you should not post a new log here, you should stay working with the Helper from that site until the issue is resolved.
  • Do not assume you're clean because you don't see something in the logs. Please wait until the person assisting you provides feedback.
  • There are often many others that require asistance as well, so please be patient. If no one has responded within 48 hours then please go ahead and post a request for review
  • NOTE: If for some reason you're unable to run some or any of the tools in the first link, then skip that step and move on to the next one. If you can't even run HijackThis, then just proceed and post a NEW topic as shown in the second link describing your issues and someone will assist you as soon as they can.
