It's has been awhile now, my other computer that im not currently using. The day when the problem started was about 2 months ago. The computer happens to continuously reboot when i turn it on. The first time when the problem started ; it was able to load to the log-in screen before it would reboot by itself. The more i turned the computer on, the worse it gets. By now I can't even reach the log-in screen like the first time. When i turn it on; it would reboot by itself continuously. Any suggestions? Thanks for any help.

Hi,

seems like a hardware problem to me. To ensure that it is not software/driver related, you can 1) try to start windows with safe mode by pressing f8 and 2) boot from a linux live cd distribution. If the problem continues, maybe there is some problem with your RAM or your Power Supply Unit. To check your RAM you can make a bootable cd from here: http://www.memtest.o...6+-2.11.iso.zip and run the test for a few hours.

Good advise from szgr to exclude possible conflicts, but I have to say that on almost every occassion I've encountered the problem you've described, the HD has been preparing to meet its maker.
