is the following a false positive?

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Advanced\Start_ShowSearch -> Bad: (0) Good: (1)

This is detected as a trojan.

It's not a false positive by definition, but it isn't an infection either. It's basically just Malwarebytes' detecting a change to the settings of the Start Menu in Windows. It is a setting that often gets changed by actual malware to make it more difficult to remove malicious files from your computer and that's why Malwarebytes' detects it and offers to correct it by changing the setting from a 0 (which means do not show Search on the right side of the Start Menu) to a 1 (which means show Search on the right side of the Start Menu, which is the default setting). If you changed this setting yourself and you don't want it changed back to the default you can simply click on the detection listed in Malwarebytes' to highlight it and then click the Ignore button. After you do this it won't be detected again unless you remove it from the Ignore List.

It shouldn't change the search location, it should change whether or not the Search item is listed on your Start menu.
