I just went to my wifes laptop and attempted to execute Dreamweaver 8 (program) and it did not work, I then found that McAfee was not working (showed as having no protection) and re-installed again. While I suspected a virus, I attempted to execute your program Malwarebytes and it said that "The database could not be located. Would you like to download an updated copy?" of which I clicked OK and then it said "The database was successfully updated from version 0 to version 2112" and it worked. I immediately did a scan and while scanning windows, it reported the message that is the subject to this post. I closed the program for it did no allow me to proceed further and it discovered 2 infected files, of which it is a disable anti-virus in the registry and when I proceeded by deleting these off the registry, the computer shut down on its own and restarted on its own, staring the same cycle all together. I believe that an executable virus is resident in my windows/32 and after removing, it starts by its self, therefor activating the program all over again. How can I find and remove the *.exe so that it won't disable my programs, including Malwarebytes? I purchased and have it programmed to scann and update daily, but this is my wifes computer and she had not noticed the disability of the anti-virus and the rest, until she went to use Dreamweaver and while trouble shooting I discovered the problem.

What do I do to clear this out?

Error code 731 normally means you need to restart your computer. If that does not help, then follow the instructions linked below to reinstall Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware:

Please read the rest of the post. I now have restarted the computer and the code 731 has gone away, that was only one of many issues that I have posted. Whatever got inot my computer has disabled McAfee, Dreamweaver 8, and even Malwarebytes, and it happens everytime I reastart the computer. Now what can I do to fix this and why did Malwarebytes permitted this virus to attack my computer?

Sorry, saw the error code in the title and just posted the resolution.

Please follow these instructions (skipping any steps you are unable to complete) for posting in our Malware Removal - HijackThis Logs forum. If you cannot follow any of those steps, then please create a new topic in that forum explaining what happened when you tried to run each of the tools in the instructions, and the expert who helps you will be able to suggest steps to take to get the tools working.

What Now? I have scanned as instructed and nothing was found, but when I try to go to "QUARANTINE" and error occured message comes on and it says to report to you error 724 (0,9). Another thing, it took in fast mode less than 3 minutes to scan, when it ussually takes 15 to 20 minutes, somehow, Malwarebytes program has been hijacked as well.

Where do I go from here, help me please!!!

Assuming these failures are Malware related please follow the instructions below. Please also read the portion in Green.

Hello and Welcome to Malwarebytes.org

If you're having Malware related issues with your computer that you're unable to resolve.
  • Please do not post any logs in the General forum. We do not work on any logs posted in the General forum.
  • Please do not install any software or use any removal/scanning tool except for those you're requested to run by the Helper that will assist you.
  • Using these other tools often makes the cleanup task more difficult and time consuming.
  • If you have already submitted for assistance at one of the other support sites on the Internet then you should not post a new log here, you should stay working with the Helper from that site until the issue is resolved.
  • Do not assume you're clean because you don't see something in the logs. Please wait until the person assisting you provides feedback.
  • There are often many others that require asistance as well, so please be patient. If no one has responded within 48 hours then please go ahead and post a request for review
  • NOTE: If for some reason you're unable to run some or any of the tools in the first link, then skip that step and move on to the next one. If you can't even run HijackThis, then just proceed and post a NEW topic as shown in the second link describing your issues and someone will assist you as soon as they can.
