Hi,

Is it possible to add file types to be ignored? I want to ignore .gif, .jpg, .tif etc file types, as I have a user (Graphics designer), that has over 300,000 images. I'd like to be able to ignore certain files types, so I can concentrate on just the most likely files that get hit by viruses.

I tried adding *.jpg to the ignore.dat file, but when you view this in the Ignore tab, its shows up as gobbldygook! *.jpg = Īgňl|

Thanks

Ben

I'm sorry but no that currently is not possible as that is not how our detection algorithms operate.

It is also very possible for these file types to be infected and if you excluded them then even if a new file came along that was infected and causing you issues we would not detect it because you said not to check it.
