I tried using Recuva but it never seems to recover working files. It find them all, just half of them don't work after recovery. Any suggestions?

I'm familiar with Eraser. Eraser erases deleted files, but it doesn't recover them. I'm looking to recover lost files. Thanks anyway though

I don't know of a program thats free? You may want to check at http://www.temerc.com/forums/index.php which is Tom's website ....known here as TeMerc.... YB

Hi,
You can try these:
Restoration: http://www.softpedia.com/get/System/Back-U...storation.shtml
PhotoRec: http://www.cgsecurit...g/wiki/PhotoRec
What is the type of the files?
Deleted files partially overwritten with new data are unrecoverable.

This software here is one of the best on the market in my opinion for recovering software.
They even support RAID recovery which many say or think they do but it fails. This one I've recovered many drives with it.
Not free, but not expensive either, but is an excellent piece of software.
