Hi, my problem is this. I have Norton 2009 security as the main security, then Malwarebytes ( free version ) as a secondry scanner. Things have been fine untill recently, when ever i start a full scan with Malwarebytes it goes into nonresponsive mode. This happens at about halfway into the scan. The only way round this, is to completely switch off norton. Anybody got any ideas as to why this is and how to rectify it? I like using Malwarebytes as it has found things that Norton has missed. Thanks

Hello nigel1946!

Maybe this is a conflict between programs. Try to do a full scan with MalwareBytes' Anti-Malware in Safe Mode and then try full in normal mode.

Your best bet would be to ditch Norton and get a better antivirus such as avast.
