I have used MBAM (free) for a long time with no serious difficulties until this morning. I attempted a routine manual update only to receive:
Error loading database: Line #71221. (0).
I uninstalled MBAM (v1.37), rebooted, ran mbam_clean, rebooted, and finally cleaned out the remaining registry items left behind using CCleaner.
Having done that, I attempted to reinstall MBAM (v1.37). All I got was the identical error!
The only alteration is my security setup had been an upgrade install from OnlineArmor (full) 3.5.0.14 to the new Beta 3.5.0.18. Beyond OA, the only active security application I run now is NOD32 (v 4.0.437). I am quite confident that my computer is not infected--scans with NOD32, and on-demand scans with a2-free and SAS show nothing, and there are no symptoms of infection.
I would certainly appreciate any assistance in getting MBAM back up and operational. It is too good a program to not have.
