I have Dell laptop, which was infected by many Malware e.g. Trojan etc. I download and ran Malwarebytes. During scan it found many files were infected then it did clean/delete the Malware. Asked to reboot the system.
When system tried to reboot I am getting Blue screen with following error:
STOP: c000021a {Fatal System Error}
The Session Manager Initialization system process terminated unexpectedly with a status of 0xc0000022 (0x00000000 0x00000000).
The syetm has been shutdown.

I was not able to boot in a safe mode.
Below is the system configuration:
Dell Inspiron 1300
OS: XP Home

Any help will be much appreciated.

Probably what has happened is that MBAM removed the infection or enough of the infection that your Anti-Virus or other security software could now see the infected file and removed it. More than likely the C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\USERINIT.EXE file was damaged, quarantined, or deleted.

Do you have the Windows XP CD or access to another working system where you can burn a disk to copy that file back onto the system?

Please take a look at this post and see if it helps.

Ron,
First thanks for repsonding to my post.

Yes I do have Windows XP Home (OS cd). Problem I can not boot the infected system neither through Windows Safe mode nor Normal mode. From the Windows XP Home CD I did try to repair OS but no luck.

Seems like I need bootable CD to boot and then run commands at DOS prompt.

Yes you need a bootable XP CD - an Upgrade Windows XP CD is not bootable. What does the CD say on it? If it is not an Upgrade then it should be bootlable and you may need to go into your BIOS settings and select that the CD is the first to start, or hit a key like F10, or similar to bring up the boot menu and select to boot from the CD

Ron,
I do not have bootable CD. It is original Windows XP home OS CD, which gives option to load OS/repair OS. I can not boot from CD to go to DOS prompt to access C drive on the system.
Do you think get bootable CD and if I can get access to C drive of the system? Is this be the step in right direction?
Many thanks
