So I downloaded Malwarebytes and used it in Safe Mode. It got rid of some type of malware or something. It was something.apx ; I forget the name, but it disabled my McAfee from updating. Anyways, after restarting my computer and going back to Safe Mode to make sure I got everything, I noticed a folder in C:\ called Avenger. (C:\Avenger) It contained the virus I had just deleted. Is the Avenger folder anything harmful or is it part of Malwarebytes, or is it the quarantine area? And why was the virus in the folder?

No trees were harmed in the posting of this message...however an extraordinarily large number of electrons were horribly inconvenienced.

yardbird, that is not the issue here.

Desert9090, it is part of Malwarebytes, and is supposed to be deleted automatically after a cleanup although occasionally things go awry. You can delete the folder safely.
