So I installed MBAM a while ago, I am on version 3.8. I set it to protection mode on and startup at startup. But when I startup the icon doesn't appear immediately it takes about 5 minutes to show up. Is this normal?
Btw, I'm using a key and license off my friend, does this have anything to do with it?

Cheers.

Greetings Mackt :P .

Most likely the problem is related to something else, however MBAM is only supposed to be used on 1 PC per license so we can't offer any support for you with the protection module unless you were to purchase your own. I do apologize for the inconvenience, but it's simply the way that MBAM licenses work. If you'd like to purchase a copy for yourself you may do so here. I also must ask, for the sake of your friend's license that he/she paid for that you not use their product key.

To remove the key from your system please follow the instructions here.

Thank you for your cooperation.

edit: To add, if you ever have questions regarding the free version, even if you never purchase a license for the full version, feel free to post and we will give you full support free of charge :P .

Oh okay, sorry did not know that. I may purchase a license then, when the team add full 64bit support.

Thanks.

No problem, I understand :P . They did add full 64bit support with version 1.37 (which made me very happy as I'm also a 64bit user :P ).

Yeah but 64bit context menu scan button. Does it work in 32bit with out registering? The context menu scanning I mean.

Yeah, the context menu scan doesn't work yet, but I'm sure it will soon. I never use that feature anyway with any of my tools. It is still accessible through the use of a 32bit program though (like Internet Explorer) using the file/browse menu.
