Simply opening the ui of mbam takes about 50meg of memory.Anyone has idea why it is using that much?I thought it was suppose to be light weight.

Seems normal to me. I just started it up and it's using about 44mb (on XP Home SP3). When scanning it's anything but light and isn't designed to be, it's designed to use more resources to get the scans done quickly. As far as the protection module in the paid version goes, it is light on resources and only consumes about 22mb at most on my Vista 64 system (don't have the paid version on my XP system).
