When i run MBAM and do either a quick scan or a full scan it will scan for 9 seconds and then just shuts down. I am having connnection problems and other system problems and i think it is all related. Something is telling to to shut down.

Please Help.

Hi,

First please take a look and see if any of these posts help you to get MBAM running or not.

Potential Malware infection issues to review to get MBAM running
If none of above apply in your case, then try if Malwarebytes works when you rename mbam.exe. This is the file located in the Program Files\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware folder. So rename mbam.exe to blah.exe (or so).
Also try to run Mbam from Windows Safe mode.

I have tried all four options and non of them have helped. The two options that include the Process explorer neither one of the files it said to look for were there.

Is there anyhting else that you could suggest. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi,

* Download Trend Micro Hijack This™
Doubleclick the HJTInstall.exe to start it.
By default it will install HijackThis in the Program Files\Trendmicro folder and create a desktop shortcut.
HijackThis will open after install. Press the Scan button below.
This will start the scan and open a log.
Copy and paste the contents of the log in your next reply.

By the way.. what Antivirus and Firewall are you using?
Because in case you are having Trendmicro installed, it explains your problem. Also see here: http://www.malwareby...showtopic=18040
So this means this is no malware related issue at all.
