I just dowloaded the newest updates (7/8/09 - DB = 2394 - Fingerprint loaded = 109924) to my desktop and notebook.
When I attempted to run the Scan on both computers, I get a pop-up reading:
"An error occurred. Please report the following error code to the Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware support team.
Errod code 722 (1813,93)
The specified resource type cannot be found in the image file."
Please, what has happened? What do I do now?
Thank you.

There is a problem with the definitions update. Please click ok to the messages and the scan should continue. I'm sure that there will be a new update shortly that fixes the problem

Hello,
I recently installed the temporary fix that windows is offering for the problem with the Video ActiveX Control.
After installing this, rebooting my system, and then trying to update Malwarebytes, I got the following error:
Error Code: 732 (0,0) it only downloaded about half and then stopped
I uninstalled Malwarebytes and re-installed it and downloaded database version 2397 with no problem.
Just curious, could this error have something to do with the recent MS fix, or was this the same problem?
Thank You.

Please review the post here for assistance.
EDIT: there was an issue that was corrected. Update your MBAM database updates, re-boot, & please report back on how everything is running... regards

Thank you yardbird for showing me where this is.
“Error 732: Error updating the database or product. Check Internet connectivity.”
Sorry, I looked for an error list but did not find one.
My system updates fine now and the scans show no problems. I was just wondering, since the errors were different, if this could be the same issue. This was for just for my knowledge/education in the product.
Thank You.

I had an error 732 tonight & a re-boot fixed it, sometimes the browser is in the offline mode.
this below may help if you can't download, & let us know.
There is a database download available at either of the links below:
Just keep in mind that it isn't updated nearly as frequently as the actual database for the program and is usually several versions behind, but in desperate situations it can still be most helpful.

Every time you update, you get sent to a different server. Since there are thousands of servers.
Feel free to post back anytime with issues, or questions, we'll be glad to help out!
Glad things are running ok with your pc now, your welcome...regards...

I am still getting problems, I have just downloaded definitions and it says it has gone from 2297 to 2297 so clearly there is still a problem.

2297 or 2397 ?
2297, what I'm saying is that the definitions download, but when I check they are the same definitions as before. I've been trying to update for a while and always end up with the same definitions. I have even uninstalled the program properly clearing all traces of malwarebytes anti-malware then downloaded the program again and tried the update but still get the same problem. This problem is only solved by installing the offline definitions, but they of course are not updated daily.
Current database information:
Date: 6/17/2009
Database version 2297
Finger prints loaded 102458
Since re-install I have not checked to see what the current offline database definitions are at. I suspect I will be able to get a more up to date definitions database if I download and install it, but I don't want to be checking everyday to see what the current offline database is at. Something is clearly wrong with the update function or something is preventing the definitions being installed via the update function, yet it appears downloading the offline database and installing manually is not a problem, or it certainly wasn't before.

Well best if we do some scanning of the system to see if we can find any issues. Please follow the directions below.
Scan and post logs - read note at bottom in green
If you're having Malware related issues with your computer that you're unable to resolve.
Scan and post logs - read note at bottom in green
If you're having Malware related issues with your computer that you're unable to resolve.
- Please read and follow the instructions provided here: I'm infected - What do I do now?
- If needed please post your logs in a NEW topic here: Malware Removal - HijackThis Logs
- When posting logs please do not use any Quote, Code, or other tags. Please copy/paste directly into your post and do not attach files unless requested.
- Please do not post any logs in the General forum. We do not work on any logs posted in the General forum.
- Please do not install any software or use any removal/scanning tool except for those you're requested to run by the Helper that will assist you.
- Using these other tools often makes the cleanup task more difficult and time consuming.
- If you have already submitted for assistance at one of the other support sites on the Internet then you should not post a new log here, you should stay working with the Helper from that site until the issue is resolved.
- Do not assume you're clean because you don't see something in the logs. Please wait until the person assisting you provides feedback.
- There are often many others that require asistance as well, so please be patient. If no one has responded within 48 hours then please go ahead and post a request for review
- NOTE: If for some reason you're unable to run some or any of the tools in the first link, then skip that step and move on to the next one. If you can't even run HijackThis, then just proceed and post a NEW topic as shown in the second link describing your issues and someone will assist you as soon as they can.

As I've already got malwarebytes anti malware and ran scans that show no infection, I'm presuming you want me to use hijack this and post the log to this thread. Can you please clarify this.

Thats the best way and fastest way to get your pc fixed up, Even if your scan is clean? There may be other issues? Let the HiJack experts look at your logs to see if anything else is wrong.
Follow the instructions by AdvancedSetup as it may take over 24hrs+ since they are very busy in that forum. hope this helped..regards
