Hi I had malwarebytes fail totally on my comp due to a fake Antivirus

windows 2010 or something

a red X on the toolbar on the bottom right.....
pestering to download a cure....

Of course thats NOT what it is......


I had the delself.bat on my desktop I tried to right click& delete ...no such luck
it ran & it wasnt good.....

I posted 2 here days ago & got no reply......
but I found this......

I followed this exact Except I had to un-install all my other anti-virus software
Cause I could find anyway to disable it...Avira free & AVG free

its been 1/2 an hour & Im still clean.....

if I do not return to this thread then disaster has struck & Im unable to......
I have only 1 running comp.....so if its down I cant come back.
otherwise Ill return & give a progress report.

So far so good its been maybe 20 hours I have shut down & rebooted ....
looks clean to me
