Hi all,
On the negative side:
I've never been on a forum,
I'm not familiar with the lingo....
On the positive side:
I've been computing over 30 years
I can follow instructions (well)
My setup: XP Pro Svc Pack 3 Build 2600
Sony Vaio (VGC-RA826G)
2 MB Ram
My problem: (see Topic Description). Somewhere in the forum, I saw a list of infected sites....been to most of 'em.
This is the best bug I've ever seen. Even blocks me from sending you email. Tried to block me from registering. I have to manually terminate all the processes I don't recognize in Task Manager, just to get this far. There appear to be tsr's that guard the bug well.
What I have done:
Registered (purchased) and run MB several times (including full scan). It always comes back (with a vengance) when I reboot.
Manually deleted files I found listed on another site that MB didn't catch.
What I can't do:
Alter the registry files. &@#$** thing won't let me change values (not that I should be attempting this anyway, but desperation....). I, of course, don't have a back-up of my registry file (what a maroon!).
I assume that somewhere here (I've tried to find it), there is a step by step process to help me get rid of this lovely piece of work. Would someone please point me in the right direction?
I've spent countless hours on this, all to no avail.
Thanks.

Hello Tom,
Howdy,
Do NOT re-try to do any registry edits on your own.
You need to do some preliminaries and then make a new post in the Malware Removal sub-forum ---- not here in this one.
See " I'm infected - What do I do now?, Please follow these instructions to clean your system"
http://www.malwareby...?showtopic=9573
You already have MBAM, so posting a copy of it's scan log would be good.
Do the prelims in the topic link above
and make a new post http://www.malwareby...php?showforum=7
