Problem with rebooting

I recently picked up the system security malware on my PC (running XP). I've run Malwarebytes and SuperAntiSpyware in both regular mode and safe mode. the popups seem to be gone, but everytime I reboot I'm seeing some of the same infected files turn up on the Malwarebytes scan. This is the log file I get after removing the infected files. Attached File  mbam_log_2009_07_26__14_25_58_.txt   1.65K   55 downloads For the most part everything is running normally now (no more false virus warnings or scans), but I still have a couple residual symptoms which are rather annoying. Everytime the computer restarts, I get a "svchost.exe has encountered a problem..." error message. Not a big deal, just close it out and that's the last I see of it until I restart. Secondly, a restart seems to wipe out my logins from forums such as this one, although it hasn't affected my login info at my bank's website. Curious if anyone has any thoughts on this; any thought are appreciated.

Welcome to the Malwarebytes. Do you get an error messages? Seems like your file, most all that was picked up was Quarantined and deleted successfully. Update your Malwarebytes, DB and run a quick scan. again, do a re-boot before you update & run the scan please.... regards..

I have been updating regularly, but did so again, rebooted, and came up with the same problem, plus a few new infected files. Here's the log:Attached File  mbam_log_2009_07_26__20_44_32_.txt   2.18K   42 downloads. The logs always say everything is deleted/quarantined, but restarting always reinserts the malware. I've tried turning off system restore, but that didn't seem to have any effect. Might this be something the pay version of Malwarebytes might solve?

You have an infection, looking at your last log. The only way its going to get fixed up is if you go to the HiJackLog Forum here! I'll pass on the instructions. your done out here until they fix you up. It may take 24-36hrs+ there busy in there!

Scan and post logs - read note at bottom in green
If you're having Malware related issues with your computer that you're unable to resolve.
  • Please do not post any logs in the General forum. We do not work on any logs posted in the General forum.
  • Please do not install any software or use any removal/scanning tool except for those you're requested to run by the Helper that will assist you.
  • Using these other tools often makes the cleanup task more difficult and time consuming.
  • If you have already submitted for assistance at one of the other support sites on the Internet then you should not post a new log here, you should stay working with the Helper from that site until the issue is resolved.
  • Do not assume you're clean because you don't see something in the logs. Please wait until the person assisting you provides feedback.
  • There are often many others that require asistance as well, so please be patient. If no one has responded within 48 hours then please go ahead and post a request for review
  • NOTE: If for some reason you're unable to run some or any of the tools in the first link, then skip that step and move on to the next one. If you can't even run HijackThis, then just proceed and post a NEW topic as shown in the second link describing your issues and someone will assist you as soon as they can.
