Hi yall !!
I whined last nite and was graciously helped , by Yardbird, abt a I.E.8 prob, and he/ she stayed with me long enough to walk me thru getting rid of that PLUS a thing called Stopzilla, that was, I think, draggin my system down......
Anywho...I had mentioned at the end of our fixin my system, that I have a surround sound that the front right speaker ( and now woofer) arent working, however I can hear a "buzzing" in them, so I know theyre plugged in. YES Ive checked to makes sure everything is plugged in. YES Ive rebooted.......Ive even jiggled the port where u plug in a head set in the front and it made no diff.....
Anyone have any idea ???

Hello again! Trying to get your sound working, I can only advise on the software.. the wires may need replacing? one may not be plugged in right? So Spray Tunner cleaner helps .... Is ther anyone who you know who works on sound systems & can lookat it.... I will review all I can with you in the software... if you want?

your problem could be drivers, or some settings may need to be changed in the control Panel.
I thought we coverd this yesterday? let me know?

I hope not but sound cards are cheap, unless you want to go bigtime! Can you open your control Panel
Click on sounds, speech, click on sound & audio.. under the Volume tab move the slider up to 50%
Clicked on Advanced & move up the slider 50% make sure all the boxes are unchecked
speaker volume should go up to 35% advanced tab for performance should be on full
how you doing so far?

Sounds like it's the connectors in the plug in ports. Not much you can do that I know of
. Sometimes they get worn out and don't make good contact or become grounded and get interference (which could cause the humming etc).
