Os- Windows XP Professional Version 2002 Service Pack 3


Hi everyone! Can somebody please help me im about to start pulling my hair out, im going crazy over here! lol. My problem started about 3 weeks ago when I noticed my google searches kept being redidected & I keep getting all these annoying pop-up ads. My computer is constantly freezing up & when its not frozen it runs super slow. I also can't use System Restore because it doesn't go farther than selecting the restore point. After I click next nothing happens. & I keep getting this annoying yellow pop up box that says "Your browser is under the threat of infection. Windows requires your permission to install online protection tool". I took a screen shot of it so you can see what im talking about.

I downloaded MBAM & whatever virus I have wouldnt let me open/run it, so I had to rename the file before I was able to get it to work. MBAM detected/fixed a number of trojans but there is one pesky file that it can't seem to get rid of...

"Files Infected: C:\WINDOWS\system32\MSIVXcount (Trojan.Agent) -> Delete on reboot."

Everytime I re-scan it seems to magically re-appear!
