Is the latest version of adobe reader considered secure? Or is Foxit Reader thought to be safer to use? Thanks

I recommend Foxit. Faster, lighter, just works better overall.

Sumatra PDF is another PDF reader. Even simpler than Foxit. For people who want maximum speed.

Watchout for the addon/plugins with Foxit

The msi package is prefered if you don't want to have to disable yet another toolbar

A lot really depends on your needs. All of these are implementations of the free source code and I've tested many of them and so far none of them can compare to the original Adobe Acrobat Reader when it comes to hi quality graphics printing.

Personally I prefer to use Acrobat Pro....

Dell Precision T5400, Win7 Ultimate 32bit fully updated, Symantec Endpoint Protection,
Watchguard Firewall, Intel Xeon CPU, Dual Quad Core Processors, 4GB Ram,
E5410 @ 2.33GHz, Nvidia Quadro FX570, Raid-1 Dual 500GB Sata 10000 rpm Hard Drives
Dual DVD Burners, IE9, Opera, MBAM
