the program is not doing automatic updates.I have kasperky 2009 and have excluded malwarebytes.The auto scan now works but not the updates is there some seperate files i need to allow?I have 3 malwarebytes exe. excluded.

Do you have these excluded?

* C:\Program Files\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware\mbam.exe
* C:\Program Files\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware\mbamgui.exe
* C:\Program Files\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware\mbamservice.exe
* C:\Program Files\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware\mbam-dor.exe

Please review the FAQ for a possible solution.

i have the top 3 excluded should i exclude the 4.on the faq it just says the 3

My mistake, go with what Advanced Setup linked you to.

If you're using the full suite from Kaspersky then you probably have to allow MBAM.EXE access through the firewall as well.
