I can start Malwarebytes just fine. When I got to scan it starts fine, scans a few files, then after 7-8 seconds I get the "Run-time Error '5' Invalide procedure call or argument" error. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Same thing happened to me after update 1.40

Please create a NEW post in the HJT forum as shown below even if you can not run any scanners. We don't work on Malware and Logs in the General forum.
Also please note that we are VERY busy at the moment and though we would love to assist you immediately, there are too many users requesting help at this time which has caused response times to greatly increase. • When posting logs please do not use any Quote, Code, or other tags. Please copy/paste directly into your post and do not attach files unless requested.

• Please do not install any software or use any removal/scanning tool except for those you're requested to run by the Helper that will assist you.
