I tried to access Malwarebytes this morning to scan for and remove some malware, however, the program would not start up when I double clicked on it. I uninstalled Malwarebytes and tried redownloading it, but I still cannot get it to start up so I can scan and remove the malware. The malware is called PC Antispyware 2010 and it is really bothersome and annoying because it keeps popping up stuff wanting me to download and install malware and virus protectors...and it also will not allow me to search for things in any search engine, like Yahoo or Google. Any and all help would be appreciated, thank you.

Hi, I just went through a helluva time trying to get my daughter's laptop working due to same virus. It is extremely malicious. I couldn't run any antivral or malware programs and had all the issues you mentioned. tried most everything. then this was suggested by another virus issue board and it worked! Follow detailed instructions and after it was done I was able to install and run MBAM and a host of other programs which found even more infected files. I am on what i believe is my last scan and it will be back to normal. BTW I am not a technician on this board but hopefully this helps you like it did me. BTW, this apparently works best if you have access to another computer (uninfected) to actually make the boot cd.

here is link:

sounds promising, gonna have to look at it, I finally gave up on the pc I was working on, I backed it up and reloaded it. Not too much work since I have an image for the pc anyway...... It was back up in about 1 hour.
