Have you tried right clicking on the icon in the system tray and placing a check next to ip protection?

I was not able to check my IP Protection either, I also tried uninstalling and restarting, then re-installing the software with the same result. I finally got it working by doing this first:

First I clicked on Enable Protection (this turned off the protection)
Second I clicked on IP Protection (this put a check mark on it hence enableing it)
Third I clicked on Enable Protection once again (to enable it)

That seemed to work.

See if that works. If not, post back :)

Wait for one of the mods or experts to post. They will be able to assist you better. I'm out of ideas.

Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling? if you do, be sure you have your license key for the re-installation.

1. Uninstall via add/remove
2. restart your computer
3 run this MBAM cleanup tool.
4.after running the clean up tool, it will ask you for another restart which you should do.
5 reinstall the latest version of MBAM from here

If that doesn't work, then i am really out of ideas and the mods or experts will have to take it from here ;)

What version of Windows are you running?

Please post the contents of your protection log located at:
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Malwarebytes\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware\Logs (Windows 2000/XP)
C:\ProgramData\Malwarebytes\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware\Logs (Windows Vista)

Hi,

Please try again to post the logs that Swandog46 asked for. I see there was a little typo in the directory structure he gave you. Please look in C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Malwarebytes\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware\Logs.

The Application Data folder is set to hidden by default, so you'll have to un-hide it if it isn't already. See here if you don't know how.

You can open them in notepad and copy and paste the log info into your reply

I thought my MBAM wasn't writing the blocked IPs in the logs.. but those logs at C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Malwarebytes\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware\Logs do have the info.

I was trying to read them within MBAM but the Logs tab in MBAM shows different logs, namely scan logs.
Is there a way to read the Protection logs from inside MBAM?

No, not at this time. Unsure if this will be considered as an option or not.

And welcome to the forum cnm. ;)

Thanks Ryanking32,

The developers may or may not ask for additional information.

By the way, is this the only problem you are having? Are you able to do automatic updates and scans? No other freezing issues?
If so, please have a look here for common problems, especially with other AV and Firewall programs.

Ryanking32, we can't help you if you don't make sure to answer all our questions! -- what version of Windows are you running? 32-bit Windows XP? 64-bit Windows Vista? It makes a big difference.
