is there an option to turn off IP protection permanently till i toggle it back on or maybe a white list i can add sites too so they wont be blocked

I know you can turn it off by right clicking the system tray icon but it turns itself back on when systems restarts

No, there is not. This option is one of the many things that the developers intend to add/fix in the new IP protection in the next few releases.

Is there a way to turn off the balloon notification when an IP intrusion has been detected? This pops up about every 60 seconds and while it's nice to know the program is working - that balloon pop-up gets really annoying after a while

In the next release hopefully there should be an option for that. For now the only option is to turn it off completely.

In the sticky it says the IP Protection logs can be found in ...\Application Data\Malwarebytes\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware\Logs but I can only find scan logs but not the IP logs. Any suggestions?

Thanks

scan and IP are both in the same log.

C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Malwarebytes\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware\Logs
protection-log-yyyy-mm-dd.txt

No, it saves the logs in a different place. Copy and paste the following line into Internet Explorer:

C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Malwarebytes\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware\Logs
