I had some crazy virus thanks to letting my friend use my machine for a few hours. There was something called Protection Systems on my machine which seems to be mostly gone with only a few remaining quirks that I think Malwarebytes would clean up.
- Box keeps popping up saying "Google installer has encountered a problem and needs to close"
- When you do a google search and clink on the searched links you go to a different site than listed.
Since this virus got on my machine none of my programs that I usually use to wipe viruses run. I assume the *$@)*^$ who wrote the virus did this on purpose. Spybot, Malwarebytes, Spydoctor, none of them will run.
Can someone please help me get my machine back ?
Thanks in advance and I really appreciate any help anyone could give me. That includes hunting down and killing whoever wrote this virus.
Please help, virus preventing Malwarebytes from running

Hi Wingfan13 and welcome to Malwarebytes.
Download DDS by sUBs and save it to your Desktop.
Double-click on the DDS icon and let the scan run. When it has run two logs will be produced, please post please post the one that is not minimized.
Next, or if that does not work, please run a GMER Rootkit scan:
Download GMER's application from here:
http://www.gmer.net/gmer.zip
Unzip it and start the GMER.exe
Click the Rootkit tab and click the Scan button.
Once done, click the Copy button.
This will copy the results to your clipboard.
Paste the results in your next reply.
Warning ! Please, do not select the "Show all" checkbox during the scan.
Next, or if that doesn't work, please download Win32kDiag.exe by AD to your Desktop. Double click on it. It will make a diagnostic and produce a report on the desktop. Post that report on your next reply:
