Looks like I have a similar infection that many others have. I have tried everything that I could find, all to no avail.

It had the "Total Protection" junk on it. I managed to at least get that to stop, but something is still going on.

Browser redirects.

MalwareBytes will not run, it cuts off after about 4 seconds.

HiJackThis will not run.

ComboFix will not run.

I even tried Win32kDiag but it seems to be getting hung up part way through.

Quite frustrating. I don't know what to do next.

I read a bit more, and the only thing I had not tried was downloading Avenger and running that.

I ran that.

Then I did a fresh install of Malwarebytes, and to my surprise, it ran a quick scan.

Download and Run ComboFix (by sUBs)
Please visit this webpage for instructions for downloading and running ComboFix:

Bleeping Computer ComboFix Tutorial

• You must download it to and run it from your Desktop
  
  
• Now STOP all your monitoring programs (Antivirus/Antispyware, Guards and Shields) as they could easily interfere with ComboFix.
  
  
• Double click combofix.exe & follow the prompts.
  
  
• When finished, it will produce a log. Please save that log to post in your next reply
  
  
• Re-enable all the programs that were disabled during the running of ComboFix..
