Hello, is a scan with Malwarebytes Anti-Malware in the protect Mode a good Idea, or not ?

Hi and welcome.

Malwarebytes Anti-Malware is not designed to find malware in safe mode. Doing so gives malware a chance to hide and subsequently, can be missed when you do scan. We need to have all parts of the malware to load in order for Malwarebytes Anti-Malware to find it and delete it.

Hello MAM.

I was going to respond but wasn't sure what you meant by "protect mode".

Were you referring to "safe mode"?

If so, Malwarebytes Anti-Malware is capable to running in both safe mode and normal mode will work. However, removal method differs in safe mode. It is best that you run MBAM in normal mode.

Why? Take a read below:

Thank you for the answers, that was my fault, in your languages, is in this issue the Word "safe mode" common, and not "protect mode" that prefers in this sentence, sorry iam not a native speaker of the American/Englsch languages.

I´am german.

Ok i run only Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware in the "noramal Mode", boot Windows, uppdate MAM, and run it, an schow on the Report.

That was only a intresting Question from me.

MBAM = Malware Bytes Anti Malware

It is best that you run malwarebytes in normal mode. Then upon completion of the scan, it is also best if you reboot your machine if there's any infections found so it can remove certain things during the reboot as well. Then, you can retrieve the log file by opening Malwarebytes and going to the Logs tab.
