[OpenEvent] failed to perform desired action error code 2

I'm getting this error, I don't know why.

I did a clean install(uninstalled, rebooted, ran mbam-clean, rebooted, installed), but that didn't work either.

Any suggestions?

I used Vista Home Premium, SP2

Try adding the following files to the exclusions list in your anti-virus:

C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\mbam.sys
C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\mbamswissarmy.sys
C:\Program Files\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware\mbam.exe
C:\Program Files\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware\mbamgui.exe
C:\Program Files\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware\mbamservice.exe

OK, I just did. How can I retest for the error?

Well, no longer get the error, thanks for the help.

One question, why do I need to exclude those files?

Because the Anti-Virus vendor currently does not provide automatic enclosed exclusions for our program. If you send an email to their support and complain about it then that might help them to hopefully someday include ours as being safe.
