I just installed the MalwareBytes on my computer but all the text on the control panel appears in a different language (can't read). I installed the software twice and chose English during the installation.

Does anyone know how the language can be set to English? B)

Thanks!

That's strange... Do you have a non-English version of Windows installed? Or if you to the Start Menu -> Control Panel -> Regional and Language Options, click on the Languages tab, does it show up as English?

Start Malwarbytes and go to the 7th tab (3rd from the right) and under Language choose which one you want.
I think it is the 15th one down.

I tried the option outlined below about changing the language. When I got to the spot to select the language the pulldown bar rolled to another language. Help!

Hello and :)

Please do the following see if it helps:
(Perform a clean/fresh install of Malwarebytes)

NOTE: These steps need to be performed on your computer while logged in as an Administrator.....

  • Download and run mbam-clean.exe from HERE
  • It will ask to restart your computer, please allow it to do so very important
  • After the computer restarts, temporarily disable your Anti-Virus and install the latest version of Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware from HERE
    • Note: You will need to reactivate the program using the license you were sent via email if using the Pro version
    • Launch the program and set the Protection and Registration. Then go to the UPDATE tab if not done during installation and check for updates.
Restart the computer again and verify that MBAM is in the task tray if using the Pro version. Now setup any file exclusions as may be required in your Anti-Virus/Internet-Security/Firewall applications and restart your Anti-Virus/Internet-Security applications. You may use the guides posted in the FAQ's HERE or ask and we'll explain how to do it.

Please read the item above from Swagger - Post #2 -
What language / region is your computer set to - If it is not set to English the download may not be accepted / translated for English -
You may even get a "Error 13" message if the settings are too far out of time, language and region -
Check these 3 above items first -
