Hi!

I am trying to install malwarebytes.

However, as soon as it is installing, I receiver this message.

Internal Error: Failed to expand shell folder constant "userappdata"

I downloaded registry mechanic hoping it would fix it, but it did not help.

I also downloaded hijack this, but i could not really tell if there was anything wrong.

thanks!

Try turning off your anti-virus while installing, and see if that helps.

Follow these steps to change your registry settings:

Click on “Start-Run, type “regedit” (without the quotes)
Go to this registry path:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER --> Software --> Microsoft --> Windows --> Current Version --> Explorer --> User Shell Folders
Clear the key: Recent (right mouse click on the key/folder, choose “Delete”)
Close the Registry Editor and restart the computer.

Should solve this problem
